For 200 years, Hyderabad has been home to the Parsis. In 1800, 16 men arrived here when the Hyderabad Contingency of the Hyderabad Subsidiary Forces moved to Bolarum, Secunderabad, from Jalna, Nizam's Dominions.

A few decades ago a five-year-old girl was the cynosure of all eyes at a children's concert in mumbai. The curtain rose on a group of kids singing a popular folk song lal dupatta and the five-year-old danced to the beat of the music while the others sang and clapped and the amused audience enjoyed it all. suddenly, the organisers realised what was happening and brought down the curtains on the little show.'when asked where she learnt that beautiful dance, the little girl replied, "it grew in my heart when i was four."
